Dear Hartford Adult:

            I am writing to you to introduce myself and the services that we provide to adults in Hartford. My name is Dr. Tina Jeter and I’m the Executive Director of the new Adult Education Center in Hartford.

            At the Adult Education Center we provide free classes for adults in English as a Second Language, U.S. Citizenship, Adult Basic Education, and High School Completion classes (GED-General Education Development and NEDP-National External Diploma Program).

            In addition to the free classes, we provide free transportation and free child care for our adult students.

            We do not require any documentation regarding immigration status in this country. The only requirement that we have is that the adult student live in Hartford.

            We offer classes in the morning (8:45 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.), in the afternoon (12:50 P.M. to 3:30 P.M.) and in the evening (6:00 P.M. to 8:40 P.M.). In addition to our main center at 110 Washington Street, we offer these free classes in different satellite locations  throughout the City of Hartford.
